I'm Jamie Wahler, a SHRM-certified HR professional with over 10 years of hands-on experience in human resources — not as a consultant who studied HR from the outside, but as someone who built HR departments, ran investigations, handled compliance audits, and managed the full employee lifecycle at real companies right here in Western New York.
For six years, I served as Director of Human Resources at a WNY-based manufacturing company — managing everything from NY employment law compliance and workplace investigations to benefits administration and seasonal workforce planning. I've been in the room during difficult terminations, conducted harassment investigations, written employee handbooks from scratch, and guided leadership through some of the hardest people decisions a business ever faces. I know what it looks like when HR is done well — and what it costs when it isn't.
I started Waymark HR Group because I kept seeing the same thing: small businesses in our community carrying real HR risk with nobody in their corner. Most can't justify a full-time HR Director at $80,000 a year — but they still face the same compliance requirements, employee relations challenges, and hiring pressures as larger companies. Waymark exists to close that gap. You get a SHRM-certified HR professional who has already done this work — without the full-time overhead.

What Drives Us Every Day
Guidance Over Gatekeeping
We teach you how to fish. Our goal is to empower your team, not create dependency on outside consultants.
Integrity First
We carry E&O insurance, use clear engagement agreements, and always operate with transparent scope limitations.
Innovation with Purpose
We build curriculum around AI principles and strategy — not just specific tools — because principles age better than product features.
Local Relationships
We're part of the Erie County business community. We attend the same Chamber events and shop at the same local businesses.
Affordability & Access
Our pricing is designed for small businesses on tight budgets. Enterprise-level capabilities shouldn't require an enterprise budget.
Results-Driven
Every engagement is measured by tangible outcomes — faster hiring, better compliance, reduced costs, and empowered teams.
