Questions people ask before they apply
Does this cost me anything?
No. Not to apply, not to interview, not to get hired. The employer pays the fee. Any recruiter who asks a job seeker to pay in order to be considered for a job is someone you should walk away from.
Will my current employer find out I applied?
Not from here. Your resume does not leave Jamie's hands until you have talked to him and specifically said yes to a named employer. He will tell you who it is before anything is sent.
I applied and nothing is open for me. Now what?
You stay on file and you are in front of Jamie when something opens. That is the actual value of a general application in a market this size. A lot of Western New York roles get filled before anyone posts them, from a recruiter's existing list.
What kinds of roles does Waymark fill?
Mostly office and professional roles for smaller Western New York employers. Accounting and finance, legal support, inside sales, office administration and operations. Typically full time, direct hire, in the forty to eighty thousand dollar range.
Is this temp work or a staffing agency placement?
Neither. These are direct hire roles. You are the employer's employee from your first day, on their payroll, with their benefits. You are not employed by Waymark.
Do you only work with people who are unemployed?
No, and most people Jamie places are currently working. If you are employed and quietly looking, say so on the form and he will handle the whole thing around your schedule.
