You do not need an open role to be worth talking to. A lot of what gets filled in this market never gets posted, because it gets filled from the people a recruiter already has on file. This is how you become one of them.

Five fields and a resume. It takes about two minutes and it goes straight to Jamie.

A phone call is how this actually moves, so a number you answer helps.
PDF or Word. It does not need to be polished and it does not need a cover letter. If yours is out of date, send it anyway and read the resume guide after.
Most of these roles are on site, so an honest answer here saves you from interviews you would never accept.
This is not a negotiation tactic. It is how Jamie avoids putting you in front of something that pays less than you can accept. Under New York law an employer cannot ask what you currently make, and Jamie will not either.

Read by Jamie personally. Nothing is forwarded to any employer until you have talked to him and said yes to that specific employer by name.

A few things worth knowing

  • This is not a black hole. You get a reply from a person. That is a low bar and almost nobody clears it, which is exactly why it is worth saying out loud.
  • Your resume does not get shopped around. It is not blasted to a list of employers to see what sticks. Nothing moves without your yes on a named employer.
  • Being currently employed is normal. Most people Jamie places already have a job. Say you need discretion and you will get it.
  • An imperfect resume is fine. Jamie reads for what you have actually done, not for formatting. Send what you have.
